A lot has happened since my last blog.. I up and quit my job at ADT and did a happy dance. That’s right that picture up there is my stuff all packed up to get outta there!!! It was the most scary/awesome thing ever to tell that crappy place where they could stick it! It was scary because I hadn’t quite locked down another job yet. Otherwise it was amazing and I was able to get a client and have started working with them doing some Social Media work. So far it’s great.. Being in Gatlinburg everyday is pretty nice. It’s pretty neat learning the area in a different way than the “tourist” way. Learning the short cuts, good places to visit/eat that aren’t the normal touristy places, etc.. It’s been great so far. I’ve did well from what I can tell with getting everything started up for them. It’s pretty exciting since they is the career path I really want to be on. Right now Cabin Rental places… Next stop Motorsports and Racecar Drivers!!

If you follow me on Twitter you probably me saw a tweet from me earlier that I had found an simply amazing CD. My car only has a CD player and all my cds in there are all pretty much 4-5 years old. They are just CD’s I have made myself and I just usually randomly pull one out when I need music and the music on the radio sucks (IE, Nickelback, Disturbed, Creed).

Today I pulled out not one but two gems! Now some of these cd’s have labels as to what sort of music the cd holds and some do not. This first piece of amazing song compiling was labeled. “Old School Guys” works for me.. If you know me, you know that I LOVE the 80s! Everything having to do with it. The Music, Hair, Clothes, obnoxious amounts of neon I LOVE it..

No CD or Playlist is complete without Ice Ice Baby. It’s held a special place in my heart since I was 7 yrs old sitting at the dinner table busting the rhymes of Sir Vanilla and giving my Mother a Semi-Heart Attack wondering where I learned this song, (I held my boombox up to the TV and recorded it on a cassette!) Not sure if it was early childhood rebellion that has made me love the song, but I’m almost positive that the mention of 5.0 is what first caught my attention.

Fox Body Mustang 5.0′s were my first car love. I still have (I need to find it at my parent’s house) a Hot Rod Mag from 1990 with a bright red fox screaming down the streets on the front. Must find the copy of that mag!

I’m going to blog I swear!!! I may even start vlogging! We will see!

Today I start the amazingly awesome Couch to 5K program! I hope that in 9 weeks I will be able to run a 5k easily! It’s on my bucket list to run a marathon and I will do it this year! It’s exactly 10 weeks until I turn 30 and it would be a fantastic present to myself to finish this program.

I’m going to be using the Couch to 5k App on my lovely new iPhone I got a couple weeks ago that tracks everything for me. I am going to be tracking my food intake via the MyFitnessPal.com website and app as well. I can see when I do bad and when I do good it has my calorie goals built into the software.

On top of doing the program I may also throw in some Zumba now and then, I purchased the DVD set a couple months ago and have done it once.. It’s great for toning so I’ll throw that in now and then to mix it up a little bit, more probably on my off days from work since it takes like an hour to do.

If you have any fitness tips or awesome recipes please share them! I’m excited to get started on everything and am determined to stick to it this time!

I will post a weight in with everything tomorrow, I forgot to weight in this morning due to having a job interview.

-kayaking, I want this to be one of my hobbies.. It seems so relaxing and plus it’s exercise!

-learn a 2nd language.. Japanese would be cool but Spanish would probably come in more handy…

-MASTER DRIFTING.. I swear if it’s the last thing I do..

-Swim with Dolphins..

-learn how to snowboard

-live on/near the beach (and go everyday)

-come out of my shell more.. Granted since I was in High School I’m a Social Butterfly now but still in certain situations I am still fairly shy..

I have a small Eiffel Tower obsession.. Though I’m sure Paris has much more to offer I want to visit the Eiffel Tower and the Louve and be on my merry way..

Greece, preferably the Greek Isles.. It’s gorgeous!!!

Italy, Venice and Rome mostly there..

Toyko, or well Japan in general.. well for obvious reasons.. The food.. The cars.. The culture.. The History.. I would have to stay for at least a month to do everything hahaah!

Australia just because I couldn’t go exploring with going to the Outback.. And well our friend Leroy would KILL me if I didn’t visit.

I want to go on a cruise.. to somewhere.. not sure where.. but Caribbean would be nice Jamaica, puerto rico, cayman islands.. somewhere down in there would be good..

Then within the country.. Most of you will probably find it sad that I’ve never flown and the further west I’ve ever been is Memphis.. Furthest north I’ve been is Indiana/Ohio and I was so young I don’t even remember it.. Sad but true.. I have been to Florida once but didn’t get to go to the beach..

First I want to visit NYC and Chicago.. and compare their pizzas and visit other things too.. but mainly the pizza :D

California.. I want to go to Wine Country and down to SoCal.. Visit all the places you normally see on TV, the Walk of Fame.. Hollywood sign.. etc.. but then I want my SoCal friends to take me to the places that isn’t well known too

I want to go to Texas and have some Puffy Tacos.. and visit the infamous Mr. VooDoo having the tacos with him.. South Texas has tons of culture..

I want go to VEGAS!! that’s enough explanation!

The Keys or Hawaii, either one.. preferably the Keys..

and last but not least..

I want to attend a Pats game at Foxboro.. Go to an Indy Series, Formula 1, WRC, and X-Games event… Visit a few of the NASCAR tracks that I love, ‘Dega, Miami Homestead, Charlotte, Watkins Glen, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, and Sonoma..

That’s it for my travels.. I’m sure there is many other places that I would love to go to but these are the top of my list. Many of these could be wrapped into a one trip. Say go to Sonoma to see a race and visit California or go to Japan and see an Formula 1/WRC/Indy Series race..

Anywhere I didn’t mention that is a must visit? Tell me I might have to add it to the list!

August was a pretty busy month so I have separated it into two posts. Mostly because I figured most people who read my blog would become bored with reading it. So.. The last weekend, and 3rd weekend in a row, that we were busy in August was the Nationwide Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway!

We were excited to be heading back to BMS again for the 2nd time this year. We didn’t have passes or tickets to the Sprint Cup race  this time around. After being exhausted from the NW race we were kinda glad to watch it from home. I took my Dad with us this time and he had a lot of fun. My Dad was a mechanic back in the day before he hurt his back and he is now disabled. So he really enjoyed watching the crews work on the cars and all the hard work that goes into them.

Being in the pits is a really different experience than being in the stands. Watching the crews work is anything short than amazing. It’s similar watching a very carefully choreographed dance. It’s really interesting to watch, the speed and agility of the pit crews are that of professional athletes, which I guess in a way they are. Seeing the things you don’t see on tv, the work done to tires after the stops to check tire wear, the celebration after a great pit stop, the concentration on the faces of the crew right before the stop. It is all very surreal to see everything you usually are watching on TV right in front of you.

Let me just recap why August was so busy!

The first weekend in August we attended Elite Summer Nationals in Spartanburg, SC. We had a few of my buddies from home (Virginia) come down and our buddy Blevins from here in Knoxville was judging the audio competition.  So we had a nice little group to hang out with. The event went well, towards the end of the day we had some issues with the car. The suspension blew and we broke the steering wheel.

The next weekend was the “Drive Like A Women” event in Atlanta. The all girl drift event held at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The event went well there was about 15 girls at the event which was awesome to see. Lieze and I shared Chris‘ Corolla for this event since I was not able to get the FRN 240 going in enough time..  The day before the game I finally was able to attend an Atlanta Braves game. Little back story… I’ve been a Braves fan since I was 7, huge fan, I’d watch every game I could decked out in my Braves gear.. I would get in trouble all the time for wearing my Braves hat at school.. So needless to say as may times I’ve we have been to Atlanta in the past 4 years I’ve never been to a game. I’ve stood in the Turner Field parking lot more times than I can count for Drift events but never been able to attend a game. I was beyond excited to get to go to my first game. We did arrive late because of traffic but I had such a good time. The game went by so quickly I didn’t want it to end! Here are a couple pics from the game..

So here is it.. The ChipIn.. Donations accepted because we don’t have the money currently to make this happen.. The FRN 240sx’s purpose to to help girls who don’t have cars to participate in track days.. This coming weekend is “Drive Like a Woman” an all girl track day at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Where myself and Lieze Truter were to pilot the Corolla for the day in order for Lieze to have her first ’bout with a drift car.. Now with two broken cars we are placed in a hard spot. We have the pieces  just need to put them all together. Suspension for it is in KY and would just take some driving to go pick up and have installed (and pay for it).. I have a friend giving me some wheels that I would need to pick up that I would pass through while picking up said suspension.. and I have a diff that’s at Chad’s house in ATL just waiting to be installed..  So if you’d like to help two ladies out please feel free to donate in the chip in above.. or if you’d like to have your company name HUGE on the side of the car and you take care of it all we can arrange that… All money will be put towards the car and the trip down.. any help is hugely appreciated.. Thanks!!

If you follow me on Twitter, (which you should if you aren’t go here) then you probably know of the crazy month that Chris and I have ahead of ourselves. We are busy until the very last weekend in this month.. Let me tell you why..

This weekend we are driving at Elite Summer Nationals in Spartanburg, SC.. This is a yearly event held by Elite that includes a huge Car Show (held inside!), Drift Event, Sound Comp.. Word on the street is there will be other goodies on the inside too (prizes!!!!).. You will need to come by to check everything out..

The next weekend we are heading down to Atlanta for “Drive Like a Woman” for me and Lieze to tear it up in the Corolla since my car isn’t near ready. Should be good times.. We come back on Monday for this and pick Allie up from her grandparents house for her to start school on that Tuesday.. She starts 1st Grade makes me feel beyond old!

Then the next weekend (Aug 18,19,20) is the weekend that NASCAR visits Bristol! We are heading up for the Truck and Nationwide races but so far not going to Sprint Cup.. Saaaaaaddddddd
